Bandsaw Blade Profilers and Setters, and Saw Chain Sharpeners

Frustrated by miscuts and wastage? Dinasaw® knows Bandsaw Blades. They are used on a vast variety of timbers and other materials. They require special attention if they are to function well. Dull teeth and incorrect set will cause blade deviation leading to costly miscuts and wastage. Dinasaw® is aware of these problems because they've manufactured narrow kerf saw blades since 1989, and they were also one of the first companies to build portable bandmills.
Two models make you more productive
Two models are available, manual and automatic feed, capable of sharpening blades from 5/8" to 3" wide. The automatic model has a range of four feed speeds from 18 to 60 rpm and comes equipped with auto stop. This leaves you free to attend other jobs.
Special order models come with the MSA beveling head. Besides saving time and money, MSA key benefits are that saws stay sharper longer, there is less sawdust remaining on the lumber, and the teeth require less time to set.

Fully optimize the performance of your bandsaw blades...
The patented Dino Saw Setting Machine makes the perfect companion to the Dino Profiler allowing you to fully optimize the performance of bandsaw blades either in the field or workshop. At up to 300 teeth per minute means the Dino setter can accurately reset a raker style blade in under two minutes. The setter can take blades up to 2 1/8 inches wide and needs no adjustment when changing between blades of different thickness. Rotating the handle indexes three teeth for every turn, setting one left, one right and missing the raker tooth. The amount of set is determined by screws in the setting yolk, and end measured with the setting gauge this is supplied. All steel construction with hardened cams and ball bearings ensure long life.

Fast is good, especially when it comes to sharpening. High feed speed introduces less heat to the teeth thereby maintaining the metal's temper.
The Australian built, fully automatic T-Rex and the semi-automatic Handi-Rex Chain Sharpeners are truly amazing machines that sharpen at speeds of up to 50 teeth per minute with both left and right hand teeth sharpened in the one pass. Chains can be sharpened quickly and efficiently as both left and right hand teeth are ground in one pass. By changing the grinding wheel, they can also grind the depth gauges. Both machines will handle nearly all sizes and styles of chain- from the small 1/4" arborist chain right through to 3/4" harvester - they even also sharpen pointed tooth ("scratcher") chain. Changing between styles and sizes is fast and easy and often requires nothing more than a change of grinding wheel. The fully automatic T-Rex is microprocessor controlled and has three operating modes to provide maximum versatility. In the "Auto" mode, sensors look at the tooth sequence and correct the grind angle if two teeth are found on the one side. The machine also counts down the number of chain cycles and stops when finished. The Handi-Rex utilizes the same mechanics as the automatic T-Rex but comes without the electronics. Turning handle indexes, clamps and then grinds the teeth- the operator retains complete control over the grind sequence and speed. To optimize the speed of these machines, Dinasaw recommends the use of their Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) grinding wheels. These wheels are expensive- but cut cool, fast, hold their form without glazing and last a very long time.
