The Baker "A" and "AX" are great for all your resawing needs. It does many jobs not possible on band resaws costing much more and takes out less than 1/16" kerf.
VERSATILE -- Resaw everything on it, or use it for your short runts and leave the heavy work to your multiple-head Baker. Use it to cut boards or cants, or reclaim slabs. The tilting feed works even makes it perfect for cutting lap siding. The Baker "AX" gives you more capacity and more cutting power. See the specification table below.
SIMPLE -- The Baker "A" makes almost any job simple. It is simple to operate and maintain. With few moving parts and adjustments, the saw is easily mastered, even by new employees.
THIN KERF -- With less than 1/16" kerf, a Baker can mean a lot to your bottom line. In fact, many owners state that their saws paid for themselves with the first job.
OPTIONS -- The Baker "A" and "AX" are available with options that allow you to make shingles, rip lumber, and much more.
Add Baker "A" TurnArounds to either model and run your machine with only one person. Both models are available in portable gasoline versions.
All Baker "A" options can be added at any time, and most simply require a few minutes and a set of wrenches to install.
RETURN CONVEYORS allow you to pass the uncut portion of the wood back to the front of the machine more easily. They also allow the use of automatic return options.
TURNAROUNDS create a loop that greatly reduces the handling of the wood. With this option, the Baker "A" or "AX" can use only one operator to produce a large amount of wood. The standard Baker "A" TurnArounds will handle wood up to 50" long. Baker offers other TurnArounds that handle longer material.
HOLD-OVER WHEELS help rail your material as it's being cut. This option gives you more versatility by allowing you to rip lumber and provides added stability no matter what you cut. Hold-over wheels also help TurnAround operate much more efficiently.
POWERED HOLD-DOWNS provide extra feeding power and improved stability. This option is well suited for use with boards.
SLIDE RETURNS send the uncut portion of your lumber back to the front of the machine to be run through again. This reduces labor involved. It installs on the out feed end of the conveyor.
A SHINGLE BELT allows you to cut shake shingles.
DIAGONAL CUT ATTACHMENTS make your Baker "A" or "AX" even more versatile. It is easily removed when not needed.
FLOATING AIR GUIDES help the band blade cut through your wood more accurately while extending blade life and significantly reducing the amount of sawdust left on boards.
